Surangel and Sons Co. is a diverse and thriving corporation located in the Republic of Palau. Founded in 1980 when Surangel Whipps opened a community store in his Ngerbeched home, Surangel and Sons Co. has always been focused on providing high quality products at fair and affordable prices. We are now one of the largest and most comprehensive providers of goods and services in Palau. Through our employment of over 450 people, we are also a significant and respected employer.

Throughout our growth, Surangel and Sons Co. has remained privately owned and run by the Surangel family. Our Christian faith and dedication to the Seventh-day Adventist Church have guided our business operations and played a key role in our success. We have remained true to our values by closing our stores during Sabbath and are active members in the Palauan community. We regularly sponsor sports and neighborhood events, as well as give donations to local schools and churches.

Today Surangel and Sons Co. offers everything from housing design and automotive repair to equipment rentals, groceries, and scuba gear. We are able to offer this variety through the Surangel and Sons Supercenter, Masons Hardware Do It Center, Surangel’s Construction Company, and Surangel’s Worldwide Travel. These four groups combine to make us a powerful import, logistics, retail, wholesale, construction, and travel company.
